Cons: Dry Lecturer, Lot of Work
Dr. Maurer teaches the Zombie Plauge FYOS. He is a very dry lecturer and the class is more based in epidemical medicine and how it applies to a zombie apocalypse rather than just zombies. He is a very easy grader, however you have something due virtually every class. Easy A if you do the work.
Cons: he's fairly boring. hard to pay attention to him.
Cons: Quizzes/exams are tougher than the homework.
University of Tampa is lucky to be getting this guy.
Cons: He was a very tough professor. His homework was hard, and he graded harshly. The projects were all group, which was difficult as getting together with a group for 3 projects over a semester is tough.
I absolutely loved this professor and class. I am an MIS major, and this class tipped the scales for me. I worked my butt off for this A and would gladly do it again. Maurer made his class several times harder than any other data management class, and I am thankful for it. Such a rewarding class.
Cons: The labs were so pointless and a waste of time.
Cons: It's just a hard class by nature. Maurer's goals for the class are set high, but he'll work with you to get there.
Also, group projects are a huge part of the class. Pick your team members wisely.
Best teacher on campus and just an overall good guy. Be ready to work hard, both in groups and alone, but rest assured that you're in good hands.
P.S. - Seth Meyers' twin.
Cons: Gives very hard assignments, tests, and projects
If you participate and pay attention you can gain a lot from the class.
Cons: He can sometimes be unrealistic in his goals for what we should know.
Great professor but not an easy class, always work through the homework and make sure you understand all the sql functions.
Cons: assignments are difficult
its a tough class by nature
Easy tests that were straight from lecture/powerpoints
Cons: none
He does a lot of hands on exercises and trys to create lots of group discussion. The material is pretty easy and if you study what he says on the study guide you should be fine.
Cons: Tests are hard, especially if you aren't technologically savy and don't fully understand IT. I am an A/B student and I have made C's on both tests so far.
Cons: You need to go to class to get the quizzes
Really good teacher, very attractive.
